Convert for a form or app that needs JPG
Use this page when the destination asks for JPEG or cannot open your WebP file. Choose or drop the original WebP, wait for the preview, then download the JPG. No output-format menu is needed: this page always creates JPEG.
The image keeps its original dimensions. Transparent pixels become white because JPG cannot store transparency. An animated WebP produces a still image; this is not an animation converter. Keep the original if you need its transparency or moving frames.
Check quality and file size together
High quality is the starting setting. If the result is too large for ordinary sharing, try Balanced and convert again. The result displays the measured KB, not an estimated percentage reduction. A JPG may be larger than its WebP source.
Every lossy conversion can change edges, texture and gradients. Repeatedly converting the same image cannot improve it. Always work from the original source and compare small text or important fine details before replacing a file in your workflow.
When you need a different output
For a transparent PNG or different dimensions, Resize image accepts WebP and lets you choose PNG. For a strict byte limit, use the image compressor. Multiple WebP files can be processed in the batch editor.
Supported source files are up to 20 MB, 20 megapixels and 8,000 pixels on either side. If a file with a .webp extension is rejected, it may contain another format or be incomplete. Download the original again; renaming it is not a conversion.
